The Other Buffalo Sauce

When people think of Buffalo food, the first thing that usually comes to mind is chicken wings, but a lot of non-Buffalonians don't know about another Western New York classic, Chiavetta's Barbeque Marinade.

Unlike traditional BBQ, Chiavetta's has a tangy, vinegar flavour. I marinated some Morningstar Farms faux chicken strips in the sauce and grilled them in my George Foreman.

I served it up with some basmati rice drizzled with sesame oil and topped with furikake

and at the last minute I grilled some Bosc pears.

It might seem like a mish-mash of flavours, but it worked quite well. I also had some leftover naan that I used up.

OMG this looks and sounds delishious! I just received a George Forman grill for my BD and was searching for some grilled tofu recipes when I found this blog post. I have lots of leftover brown rice, several jars of furikake, and pears. I know what we're having for dinner tonight! thanks.
